Founder & Principal
Toni Sutherland
Toni Sutherland is the founder and principal of Alta Investment Group. She became an independent registered representative with Emerson Equity after a distinguished career with American Express Financial Advisors in Silicon Valley and Smith Barney, a division of Citigroup.
At Smith Barney, Toni managed portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, established 401(k) programs for thousands of employees, and worked closely with prominent families and business leaders. Her background spans financial planning, estate planning, securities, and direct real estate investing — informed by both Wall Street experience and her own work as a business owner.
Toni holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations, CA Insurance license OB99170, and is a licensed California real estate agent. She built Alta around the conviction that great advice is personal, educational, and held to the highest fiduciary standard.
